This bronze is a beautifully crafted old print, based on the work of Henri Honoré Plé, titled “A future artist” and signed on the base “H.PLE”. Henri Honoré Plé (1853-1922) was born in Paris on March 2, 1853, painter and sculptor, he was a student of Mathurin Moreau, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1877 to 1914, he participated in the universal exhibition of 1900 where he received a bronze medal.
