"Secretary Chest with Painted Ornamentation from the 17th Century" This exceptional 17th century chest also serves as a secretary, designed in wood and decorated with leather covering and period wallpaper inside the drawers. With its sumptuous period base, it is distinguished by its crosspieces and uprights (with twisted patterns). The main structure of the trunk, with its curved design, sits proudly on this base, and opens from the top. Its front, for its part, unfolds to reveal seven drawers arranged in three rows. Both the facade and the interior of the flap are decorated with authentic period painting, illustrating a picturesque village landscape and greenery and period scenes. The exterior of the trunk is covered in thick leather, enhanced with stud decoration. A French creation from the 17th century, rare and wonderfully preserved.
