"Basket - Ikebana - Hanakago - Bamboo - C. 1900"
Hanakago basket forming a vase for the Japanese ikebana technique. So-called “Chinese” shape with square section. Braided and lacquered smoked bamboo with multiple braiding effects. The handle is formed by a strip of bamboo intertwined with multiple knots. The hemmed collar is also decorated. The bottom is braided and reinforced with two strips of bamboo. Work from Japan. Around 1900 (Shōwa era).
