French work, late 19th century oil painting on wood by the painter Alexandre Gaston Guignard (1848-1922), representing a hunting scene with a hunter at the top of a hill and these two dogs in a hilly forest landscape . In its original gilded frame, signed by the artist lower right, entirely period work having undergone no restoration.
