"Oil And Vinegar Pot In Silver, Empire Period Circa 1803"
OILER-VINEGAR SERVER in chiseled silver. Rectangular top, highlighted with an openwork frieze, rests on four claw feet with palmette attachments. Cruet holders are decorated with busts of caryatids carrying cornucopias. The belts, decorated with water leaves, are joined by a solid part, to which two cork holders decorated with water leaves are attached. The vertical stem has the shape of an ancient Greek draped vase whose stylized handles are made in the shape of ram's heads. The socket is a ring decorated with a frieze of flowers and a bouquet of fruit. Faceted cut glass cruets with diamond points and straight handles with their stoppers.
