Louis XVI Period Living Room Table With Two Tops In Walnut

Interesting living room table with two tops in walnut from the Louis XVI period, second half of the 18th century.
a lovely table with a slightly flared base. an ideal all-sided table to place at the end of a sofa or as a center table in a living room.
the top is mounted in a cabaret and is molded with a groove all around.
the crosspieces and the drawer on the front are carved with Louis XVI fluting.
the drawer is mounted with dovetails and the interior is in fir.
the bronze button is decorated with a flower.
the base is slightly flared as well as each of the feet with a Louis XVI hollow molding.
if you are attentive you will notice that the feet do not have grafts and that the molding goes all the way to the end of the feet.
the intermediate top is curved into the base and is molded on each side.
the walnut top board is slightly stained but is original. this table is all pegged.
very good general condition, no restoration to report or attack by xylophagous insects.
beautiful walnut-colored waxed patina.
