"Stew Fork, Service, Silver, Coat Of Arms, Paris, 18th Century"
Very beautiful so-called stew fork in silver single-plate model, the spatula engraved with the alliance coat of arms with support, by the master goldsmith Claude Auguste Aubry, Paris 1785. Claude Auguste Aubry was received as a master goldsmith in Paris on September 13, 1758. The coat of arms are perhaps those of the Delavaux family or the Villiers family (thanks to Mr Francis Sanchez). Weight 134g. Condition, very good, traces of use. The teeth are long and massive. It is well hallmarked, it was re-hallmarked under the Restoration (Vieillard). The coat of arms is very beautiful. They are engraved with the same coat of arms as the series (x6) of filet cutlery on sale in my gallery. Rare.
