"Miniature Early 18th Century Great Quality"
Remarkable portrait of a man wearing a wig from the end of the 17th century or the beginning of the 18th century. Painted on vellum it is of superb quality with work similar to the dotted technique. Its small size, 2.5cm in height without the frame, reinforces the "prowess" side of the artist's work. The colors are delicate, perfect condition. The gilded brass frame seems original to me. The character represented, despite the small size of the whole, exudes a very strong presence.
