"Louis XIV / Regence Period Crossbow Commode, Circa 1700, Early 18th Century Commode"
Imposing chest of drawers from the Louis XIV / Early Regency period. Around 1700 Superb facade worked in crossbow, paneled sides. Our chest of drawers is made of a solid solid walnut frame. It opens with three drawers on the front. The two top drawers have an old lock, no lock on the bottom drawer. We do not have the key to this piece of furniture. Beautiful bronze handles decorated with male and female characters. Our furniture is in very good condition. It has undergone customary restorations on one rear foot. Ancient traces of xylophages (long since deserted!). A dark halo is visible on one side of the furniture. Authenticity perfectly preserved on this magnificent piece of furniture with a luminous patina.
