"Oil And Vinegar Pot In Silver, France 18th Century 1783"
Cast and chiseled silver vinegar cruet in a shuttle shape resting on four scrolled feet with acanthus leaf attachments. The multi-lobed tray, with two cork holders, is decorated with a net, acanthus leaves and staples of bunches of grapes and palmettes on two ends which form handles. Cruet holders with four pilasters are decorated with garlands of flowers and bunches of grapes. Two 19th century cruets in translucent cut glass from Baccarat are perfectly suited to this antique setting. The cruets are in perfect condition.
