"Pendant Figuring A Snake - Gan Culture, Burkina Faso - 19th Century"
PENDANT depicting a SNAKE with a scaled body, devouring an ANTHROPOMORPHE FIGURE seen from the front in bust form, nipples and umbilicus indicated by applied pastilles. She is holding her head in her hands. A suspension ring is placed at the nape of her neck. Gan culture, Burkina Faso
