Marie-Amélie, Archduchess of Austria and Princess of Bohemia was the daughter of Francis I of the Holy Roman Empire and Maria Theresa of Habsburg. She was the older sister of Marie-Antoinette to whom she was very close. They exchanged extensive correspondence and the last letter written by Marie-Antoinette from her prison was addressed to her. She married Ferdinand I of Parma, grandson of the King of France and nephew of the King of Spain. French school of the 18th century. Oil on canvas.
