Amazing suite of three old panels, popular fairground art around 1930.
Oil painting on compressed wood panels, probably used to decorate a merry-go-round.
The electrical system has been completely revised, the small 3v bulbs now operate in a battery pack with a switch.
Can be easily wired to a conventional socket using a small transformer. Also added a bar on the back, allowing them to be placed or hung.
The whole has been lightly cleaned, a lovely patina of time preserved and protected by a veil of wax.
Very decorative pieces, between popular art and art brut.

132cm high, 65cm wide and 5cm deep.
