Charles BELBÉOC'H, painter born November 15, 1926 in Cormery and died August 26, 2006 in Saint Avertin - Indre-et-Loire – (Ec. Fr.). Painter of landscapes and genre scenes, Charles Belbéoc'h was divided between the Breton origins of his family through port views and maritime scenes and between his native region, Touraine, which he painted through its countryside landscapes and streets of the city of Tours. Noted very early on for his talent and the personalization of his painting, he was a companion of European artistic merit and received the bronze medal in 1986 following a very notable exhibition at a fair organized in this city. He also received numerous regional and international titles. In 2001, he participated in a collective collection exhibition alongside Lucienne Berthon, Michèle Delaunay, Hervé Richard, André Bourneuf, Evgueni Kolodyev and Jean Groussin which had remarkable success. This work, an oil on panel from the 1980s, titled “Le ramandage” is a reflection of his talent. The composition vibrates with the colors and the movement of the characters. Signature lower right.
