"Kpeliyé'e Mask - Senufo Culture, Ivory Coast - 19th Century"
Kpeliyé'e MASK referring to the eponymous mask dancing on the occasion of the Poro initiation ritual. He wears a pair of horns reminiscent of those of the buffalo, scarifications on the cheekbones, labrets on the lips, a pair of fins on the temples and two drooping growths on the cheeks.
