"Venetian Console From The End Of The 17th Century In Lacquered And Gilded Leaf Wood"
Remarkable Venetian school from the end of the 17th century in lacquered wood and gilded with gold leaf with its original patina
. It is trapezoidal in shape and its top is in original black marble.
The base is flanked on the right and left by bare-breasted caryatids with a gilded leaf apron.
The center is supported by an astonishing two-headed caryatid/Atlantean (like Siamese twins).
The crosspieces on the right and left are decorated with foliage gilded with gold leaf.
This console is, as they say, in its original state with minor accidents and traces of wear due to use.
The bottom crossbars are also trapezoidal Width of the marble:
