"Bride By Ludmil Siskov (born 1936)"
This pointillist portrait, titled by the author "The Bride", was created in 1975 by the famous Bulgarian-Hungarian artist Ludmil Siskov, in Bulgarian: людмил маринов шишков, born in 1936 in Sofia. Studies: 1950-54 music conservatory: piano and composition * 1954-58 Sofia Academy of Fine Arts * 1958 moved to Budapest, Hungary * 1958-63 Budapest Academy of Fine Arts: painting and restoration *works in the meantime as a jazz pianist * 1968 one of the counters of the legendary Hungarian underground artist group "iparterv" * since 1969 lives and works near Vienna, Austria. His works can be found in leading museums and private collections in Europe and the United States. The prices of his works reach high results of up to €45,000 at international auctions.
Inscription: signed and dated (19)75 lower right; on the back of the canvas signed and dated again, a label from a Viennese art gallery “Peithner Lichtenfelsische Galerie”.
