Malachite and gilded bronze terminal clock from the beginning of the 19th century. In Louis XVI style, it is decorated with a laurel wreath surmounting a torch and a quiver. The enamel dial bears the signature of Maison Raingo Frères in Paris. The RAINGO Frères house was founded in 1823, it collected numerous medals during universal exhibitions (London 1862 and Paris in 1867, 1878, 1889) The works of the RAINGO brothers can be found in various museums including the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris, the Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels, the Pezzoli Museum in Milan and the Palacio Real in Madrid. The Raingo brothers quickly stood out for their bronzes. In fact, the Raingo brothers, first known as watchmakers, added artistic and furniture bronzes to their catalog. From 1860, Maison Raingo created remarkable pieces for the Emperor and Empress Eugénie, a collection which can be admired today at the Louvre. The Raingo brothers carried out productions based on the Antique then, later, produced small models of the works of contemporary artists such as Pradier, Carrier-Belleuse or Auguste Moreau.
