Very interesting view of Mainz in 1845, seen from the Hotel d'Italie, we see the floating bridge (schiffbrucke) opening to let a steamboat pass. It is the work of an amateur who draws this view from the Hotel d'Anglais. We can read, at the bottom right: Sketch from the Hotel d'Anglande, Mainz aug 11th 1845 Annotated later on the back: Mainz Germany The work is on recycled paper (advertising?)
