"Curule Stool, Napoleon III Period – Mid-19th Century"
Charming Napoleon III style curule stool in blackened wood decorated with gilding. This is inspired by furniture from Roman antiquity. We find the X-shaped base with scrolls on each of the facades. These are decorated with a bronze rosette in the center and on the top. The structure of this stable seat is reinforced by a central spacer carved with grooves. The seat of this small piece of furniture, solidly squared, is traditional (straps and horsehair) and covered in a beautiful yellow fabric with floral motifs in excellent condition. Rare and elegant, this Napoleon III curule stool will delight with its refined form. ******** Period: Mid-19th century Excellent condition after Restoration in our workshop (gluing, squaring and patina before upholstery work) Additional photos available by clicking on the following link: https://www.antiquites-lecomte.com /shop/seats/tabouret-curule-epoque-napoleon-iii-milieu-xixe Delivery possible, in France and Europe, by our partner specializing in the transport of furniture.
