Condor Huasi Mask – Alamito Culture, Argentina Rare mask with characteristic features of the genre, remarkable for its hemmed mouth which seems to blow and indicate that life comes out of the stone. The line of the nose which joins the eyebrows to form a sort of T is the other significant mark of this type of mask whose use seems linked to funeral rites. Comes from an American collection.
