"Aaron Russian Painting XIX"
It is obvious that this artist who has not left us his name was infinitely religious. His faith shines through in the work he produced. I imagine him in a corner of a monastery workshop, somewhere in Russia. I hear the choruses he listened to while, with the tip of his brush, he refined the features of Moses' brother. Aaron, written in Cyrillic on his ecclesiastical headdress, is shown handling a censer. Oil on mounted canvas, in very good condition, which bears the trace of its lost framing.
