Wood, iron and copper
Height: 39 cm; length: 22.5 cm
The triangular blade is made of openwork iron with two incised anthropomorphic faces on either side and a knot with a twisted end. It is held in a straight wooden handle wrapped in nailed copper inserts.
The forging of the blade distinguishes it from battle axes and makes this weapon a prestigious object that can sometimes be considered as a bargaining chip.
