"Suite Of Eight 18th Century Glasses With Gilded Decoration Of Peasant Activities And 18th Century Signs Of The Zodiac"
Rare set of eight stemmed glasses with cut sides and gilded decoration illustrating the months of the year (here: March, April, June, August, September, October, November and December): work in the forest, planting, harvesting, picking, grape harvest, pig bleeding... They also illustrate the sign of the zodiac associated with each period in a medallion. The legs are faceted and the feet have eleven sides. Silesia, second half of the 18th century, circa 1770. Height of a glass: 14 cm, diameter at the rim: approximately 6 cm. The whole is in good general condition despite some wear. Complete photo file on request.
