"Reliquary Of Saint Restitut - 18th Century"
In a very beautiful ornate frame, interesting reliquary of Saint Restitut with, as an important central medallion, the wax bust of the Capuchin brother, Saint Joseph de Leonessa. Tradition has it that Restitut came from Palestine with Saint Madeleine and a few others. In the first century, history designates him as the first bishop of the ancient bishopric of Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux Saint Joseph de Leonessa for his part (1556 -1612) is an Italian Capuchin priest, preacher and missionary.
Died in the odor of holiness, he was canonized in 1746.
