"Louis XIV Bench In Baluster, Large Double Stool In Walnut, Late 17th Century - Early 18th Century"
Beautiful Louis XIII - Louis XIV style bench in waxed walnut, from the end of the 17th-early 18th century. Of unusual proportions due to its length, our large stool rests on a base made up of four legs connected by a spacer, all in a baluster shape. The trim is old but is still usable. The covering fabric is old gold colored velvet, it is stained in places and has a tear in the finishing braid (see photos). This same braid also has some accidents and losses. One of the four legs has been restored and partially replaced, the other three have at their ends at the level of the balls, traces of normal filling given the age of this seat.
