Belgian painter who started in the wake of the Laethem St Martin School, Jean Milo turned towards lyrical abstraction after the war, to return to a certain figuration.
Also a poet and novelist, director of the Le Centaure gallery in Bruxelles, he is familiar with all the trends of the Avant Garde: his activity responds exactly to all the trends in Belgian Art since the 1920s. Member of different groups: Young Belgian Painting in 1946, Abstract Art in 1952, New Realities in 1955.
