A complete artist, Marcle LEPRIN painted landscapes, still lifes, genre scenes...and portraits. One of the best known is the one exhibited at the Montmartre Museum "La belle cabaretière" (1924). Like many Montmartre artists of the 1920s, LEPRIN painted his landlords or merchants in exchange for accommodation or food... In this case, I have not (yet) identified the character represented.
