Around 1900, he entered the School of Fine Arts of Jean-Léon Gérôme. Friend of Renoir, he freed himself from academicism and adopted an impressionist style for his landscapes. Picart Le Doux will present at the Salons of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, at the Salon d'Automne, at the Salon des Tuileries. Painter of the School of Paris group, in 1937 he received the Grand Medal at the Paris International Exhibition. He works as a teacher in a free academy in Montparnasse. In 1950, he was named an officer of the Legion of Honor. In addition to paintings, he created various wall decorations, notably the ceilings of the Normandy liner. He also illustrated numerous literary works.
