Beautiful pair of portraits finely produced by the painter Emile Brunet which represents Bordeaux notables in 1897
The painter realistically detailed the clothes but especially the faces of Madame and Monsieur.
A student at the Bordeaux School of Fine Arts then in Paris, Emile Brunet entered the studio of the painter Gustave Moreau. He returned to settle in Bordeaux and became a teacher alongside his art as an easel painter and wall decoration.
Nb: An old small restoration visible on the back, without impact, should be noted on the portrait of Monsieur.
Dimensions: 60 x 50 cm each canvas, without frame.
