Enameled iron plaque (to place or hang) by Roger Bezombes, French painter, engraver and sculptor of the second School of Paris, born in 1913 in Paris and died in 1994 in Ivry-sur-Seine.Executed in the ovens of Ets J. Neuhaus in Behobie.
Numbered 577, dated 1970 on the back.

Roger Bezombes was a student at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Close friend of Maurice Denis,
Second prize in Rome in 1936.
Traveled to Morocco in 1937 where he became friends with Albert Camus.
First personal exhibition in 1938 at the Charpentier gallery in Paris with canvases and gouaches on the theme of Morocco.
The same year, the Grand Prix National des Arts was awarded.
Appointed official painter of the Navy in 1955.
