"Louis XVI Period Fronton Mirror"
Louis XVI period pediment mirror. Late 18th century. Provençal model. In molded, carved and gilded wood. It has an openwork pediment patterned with a bouquet of flowers and different foliage. The frame is carved with a row of single pearls and a row of alternating pearls. The four corners are decorated with squares decorated with rosettes. Oak leaves and bay leaves complete the decor. The gilding is original. Two small repairs to the foliage. The ice cream is original with its mercury tin. Note some pitting on the tin. The parquet flooring is original.
