"Berber Shawl Or Veil In Sheep's Wool Woven On Hand Loom - South Tunisia Circa 1950"
Circa 1950 South Tunisia Very soft Berber shawl entirely woven on a hand loom on the borders of the desert. Piece collected in Matmatah. Natural, undyed sheep's wool with fine blue brocaded stripes at both ends. Beautiful fringes tied with tiny wool pompoms. A few rare light yellowish halos that are very difficult to observe (see last photo). Clean and cleaned room. No holes. Good general condition. Ideal for a cozy winter to use as a sofa throw or blanket for the bed. Dimensions: 188 cm long by 91 cm wide.
