Exceptional fine Isfahan rug (Persia), dating from the end of the 19th century, made of very silky and high quality Kork wool velvet, on a cotton foundation. Rare historical carpet of great poetry, recounting different scenes taken from illustrious Persian poets. Consists of a Triple border, the main of which is ivory with interlacing of fine crenellated stems in the Persian Kufic taste in polychromy. Title of the carpet: Story of Bahram Shah (Bahram - e -gour) and Gholadam of Chahname' by Ferdowsi (The famous and illustrious poet).
