"Pair Of Dolphin Cups, Restoration Period."
Very beautiful pair of gilded bronze cups richly decorated with palmettes, flowers and openwork foliage, on a gadrooned base ending in a pine cone. Two leaning dolphins, very finely chiseled, support each cup. The whole rests on a raised rectangular base, animated by water leaves and stylized waves, flanked by leafy scrolls, connected to each other by twisted flowers. Four-legged base in the shape of flower buds. This pair of cuts is distinguished by the remarkable quality of the carving.
