"Devotional Work In Straw Marquetry - 18th Century"
Rare work of varnished straw marquetry, in its wooden frame. At the center of this precious precision work is, on a double medallion, a fine gouache representing Saint Peter and Saint Paul, pillars of the Church. The whole, at the foot of the table, is signed Jacobus Lewy Enneur.
On the back of this phylactery forming a signature, the year 1787 would be handwritten.
Dimensions of 36 cm by 25 and five centimeters deep.
A work from the end of the 18th century, undoubtedly from Flanders.
