Charming little ivory box decorated on the lid with a superb bouquet of different flowers blooming in a gadrooned vase with gold highlights, on a red-brown background.

Origin France, probably Dieppe Normandy.

Beauty box undoubtedly offered by love, message coded in the language of flowers!

The side is painted with garlands of flowers and bows of blue ribbons, symbols of sentimental attachment.

Mirror inside the lid.

Restoration: A small lack inside at the level of the circle which holds the mirror, and a crack was carefully made to stabilize the whole and restore all its charm to this box.

Varnish restored by us.

The decoration is in good condition, the colors are fresh as they were two centuries ago.
