"Old Necklace Made Of 16 Old 18th Century Watch Roosters"
An exceptional piece.
While it is quite common to come across these hand-engraved and pierced watch cocks individually, a necklace made entirely of these pieces is extremely rare, especially since there are 16 cocks.
Watches with a rocket-shaped movement, which have these decorations covering the movement, date from the beginning of the 18th century.
This necklace was assembled at the beginning of the Victorian era, dated by the style of the decoration of the "tongue in box" clasp.
All the decorations are different, the roosters are not modified but linked together by rings passing through the original fixing holes made in hand-engraved and pierced brass.
Length 50cm, width 3cm.
