"Secretary Trunk, Mahogany Interior, Stamped Innovation – 1900"
Rare secretary trunk designed by the American company Innovation in the 1900s in the French factory in Vincennes. It was precisely in the latter that a fire broke out in 1931 and which pushed the company to sell a large part of its stock. Its exterior structure is made from noble materials, namely wood, leather and brass corner reinforcements. This trunk, rounded on the top, can be transported vertically using a leather handle and four casters located underneath. Opening and closing is done using brass locks, safe-type, borrowed from the porter Ermett. The interior, all in mahogany, offers a folding shelf mounted on brass hinges as well as two doors, with lens buttons, giving access to two independent storage spaces. The right part includes two fixed shelves or three compartments.
