Eugène Galien-Laloue *Paris 1854-1941 Chérence Born in Paris in December 1854, Eugène Galien-Laloue is recognized as one of the greatest masters of French street scenes and impressionist landscapes. From 1877, he was a student of Charles Laloue, a long-time member of the Artistes Français, a prestigious French artistic association. During his career as an artist, Galien-Laloue used several individual pseudonyms due to an exclusive contract with a larger gallery.
