"Large 19th Century Brooch, Miniature In Enamel On Porcelain, Vermeil Setting, Decorated With Ruby"
The enamel scene on a curved porcelain plaque represents a shepherdess resting under a tree, beside her a sheep, a basket of flowers and her straw hat.
The engraved vermeil setting is surrounded by interlacing decorated with 11 rubies (fluorescent under UV light) and a red stone in a bezel setting (not reactive under UV light see last picture). Mother-of-pearl plaque on the back.
C clasp, metal needle, perfectly functional system.
Unmarked silver vermeil, tested on the touchstone.
Note : small wear to the enamel of the miniature
