This oushebti rests on a slight bulge. He is wearing a false beard, a wig and farming implements. The green colour is due to the ageing of the earthenware pigments. He is an epigraph.
Votive use:
These statuettes represent the funeral servants who were to answer Osiris' call and replace the dead man in the work of the fields in the afterlife.
Depending on the social status of the deceased, the funerary statuettes are made of terracotta, stone, bronze, wood or green or blue enamelled clay and represent the deceased either in the Osirid (mummiform) position or dressed in the clothes he wore in everyday life.
