"Brass Equinoctial Pocket Sundial"
Pocket equinoctial sundial in finely chiseled brass and engraved with grids and flowers in reserves. Compass and latitude scale on an adjustable hinged arc. Signed on the back by Lorenz Grassl in Augsburg and indication of latitudes. Period second half of the 18th century. The compass needle and window are missing. Note: Lorenz Grassl (1740-1805) worked in Augsburg where he maintained a large production of portable dials.
