Henry Somm (1844-1906) - Fisherman by moonlight. Indian ink drawing, signed lower left. After studying at the municipal drawing school of Rouen, Henry Somm moved to Paris in the 1860s. In 1879, he participated in the fourth exhibition of the Impressionists at the invitation of Degas, avenue de l'Opéra in Paris . He collaborates with the press: Le Chat noir, La Cravache, la Chronique parisienne, High Life, Frou-frou, Le Rire. He left a large quantity of drawings and watercolors of Parisian women captured from life in the 1890s.
