- Hammered, melted silver
- By Pierre Landelle, master goldsmith from 1705 to 1766
- Paris, 1726
- Height: 20.5 cm; weight: 564g
- Good condition, beautiful patina, scratch near the collar, amaranth handle (late)
- Chocolate maker with a plain body, set on three low feet with ribbed spatula attachments. The attached spout, covered with a hinge, is highlighted by a large rush with lanceolate and ribbed water leaves on a matte background. The dome cover, bordered by a molding of nets, is topped with a button on a rotating terrace for the passage of the mousseur. The thumb rest is a gadrooned winding. The cylindrical side sleeve with a molded edge, reminiscent of the border of the body, is fixed to the body by a large hood of gadroons alternating with channels. The amaranth handle with sides screws onto the sleeve.
- Beautiful model typical of Parisian production from the 1720s, an extension of the late production of the goldsmith Sébastien Leblond and his brother-in-law Richard Jarry, a contemporary of our goldsmith. A similar model dated 1722-1723 by Sébastien Leblond was sold at the Fraysse sale on June 5, 2018, n°68. Few pieces of this goldsmith, appointed as assayer by decision of the Council, are known to us.
