The motif of enamel flowers with round petals, perfectly elegant in its naivety, is characteristic of the late works of Bernard Instone, a goldsmith born in 1891 in Birmingham. He began his apprenticeship with the masters of the Arts and Crafts movement at an early age, and worked for Sybil Dunlop and Liberty, among others.
Artist who is part of the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
