Referenced as a painter of genre scenes, portraits, interiors. He was a student of Gérôme and Combe-Velluet. From 1886, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, of which he became a member in 1889, obtaining an honorable mention in 1888, a bronze medal in 1900, for the Universal Exhibition and a bronze medal in 1929.
