Beautiful and rare Anglo-Indian padouk tilt table, richly carved and pierced, dating from about 1870-90, . Three carved dragon's head-shaped feet feed a central column with intertwined snakes and birds. The center of the table is surrounded by an intricate frieze of flowers and animals including snakes, elephants, turtles, and birds. This is further embellished with an openwork leaf decoration resulting in a highly decorative design.
