"Louis XIV Period High-backed Armchair."
In walnut and upholstered with its period small stitch tapestry, this high-backed armchair is in very good condition, I am not aware of any restoration, with the exception of the removal and refitting of its tapestry, the re-strapping of the seat . Its high hat-shaped back is barely detached from the seat which rests on four legs, turned at the front, like the front crosspiece under seat, straight at the rear and the spacer. Probably seventeenth rather than early eighteenth.
