Gustave Mardoché Neymark was born in Poitiers, France, on July 20, 1850. He worked as a painter and illustrator, primarily on genre scenes, including early empire scenes and horse scenes. Neymark was a student of Bonnat. He made his debut at the Salon in 1876 and obtained honorable mentions in 1890 and 1900 at the Universal Exhibition.
